Aims & Scope
The International Journal of Physiotherapy and Research (IJPR) is an open-access, peer-reviewed, bimonthly journal that encompasses all academic and clinical aspects of physiotherapy, providing baseline data for academic, clinical, and research work in the field, and maintaining high standards of academic practice and research.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: anatomical and biomechanical aspects of physiotherapy, exercise physiology, physiotherapy techniques, cardiovascular and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, neurological physiotherapy, sports physiotherapy, physiotherapy rehabilitation, geriatric physiotherapy, treatment modalities, fitness training, and rare images in clinical practice.
IJPR aims to provide an international forum for research discussion, contributing evidence for the best treatment approaches in rehabilitation, and benefiting both readers and authors by accelerating the dissemination of research through evidence-based practice.
Editorial Process
Every submission undergoes editorial screening followed by peer review by independent reviewers with relevant subject-matter expertise. Accepted articles are posted online as soon as they clear peer review, ahead of formal issue assignment, so readers gain access to new findings with minimal delay.
IJPR follows the core practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and the standards of OASPA and WAME in its editorial and peer review process.
Open Access & Licensing
IJPR is a fully open-access journal: there is no charge to readers, and no subscription or paywall restricts access to published content. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license. Full content is deposited in Portico, a community-supported digital preservation archive, to ensure long-term accessibility of the journal's record.
