This battery estimates body composition, cardiopulmonary, and musculoskeletal fitness.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Results:<\/strong> there were no significant differences concerning BMI, skin folds and PBF between the diabetic and control groups. The 6-min walking distance and VO2max were significantly lower in the diabetic group (PB<u>&lt;<\/u>0.05). Jump-stretch, handgrip and side-bending of trunk tests were also lower in the diabetic group.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Conclusion: <\/strong>physical functional capacity is much lower in diabetic children than in age-matched control subjects.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Key words:<\/strong> Type 1 diabetes, physical fitness, Eurofit test battery.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>REFERENCES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Atkinson M.
