In some cases, right\u00a0 hepatic\u00a0 artery\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 may\u00a0\u00a0 come \u00a0\u00a0very\u00a0 close\u00a0\u00a0 to\u00a0\u00a0 gallbladder\u00a0 &amp;\u00a0 cystic\u00a0 duct\u00a0\u00a0 in the\u00a0\u00a0 form\u00a0\u00a0 of\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cCaterpillar hump\u00a0\u00a0 or\u00a0\u00a0 Moynihan hump\u2019\u2019.\u00a0 If\u00a0\u00a0 such a\u00a0\u00a0 hump is present, the cystic artery inturn is very short. In\u00a0 this\u00a0\u00a0 situation\u00a0\u00a0 right\u00a0 hepatic\u00a0 artery\u00a0\u00a0 is\u00a0\u00a0 liable\u00a0 to\u00a0 be\u00a0 \u00a0mistakenly\u00a0\u00a0 identified\u00a0\u00a0 as\u00a0\u00a0 cystic artery\u00a0\u00a0 and\u00a0\u00a0 it\u00a0 will\u00a0 be\u00a0 ligated\u00a0\u00a0 prior\u00a0 to\u00a0 Cholecystectomy .\u00a0 So , right functional lobe\u00a0 of\u00a0 liver\u00a0 goes\u00a0 for\u00a0 necrosis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Materials\u00a0 and \u00a0Methods<\/strong>: 60\u00a0 adult specimens\u00a0\u00a0 from\u00a0\u00a0 cadavers\u00a0\u00a0 were\u00a0\u00a0 studied\u00a0\u00a0 by\u00a0\u00a0 using\u00a0\u00a0 conventional\u00a0 dissection method\u00a0\u00a0 in\u00a0 institute of anatomy, Madras\u00a0 Medical\u00a0 college, Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. While age and sex were not\u00a0 determined .<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Results<\/strong>: \u00a0Caterpillar\u00a0 hump ( Moynihan hump )\u00a0 of\u00a0\u00a0 right hepatic artery\u00a0\u00a0 was\u00a0\u00a0 present\u00a0\u00a0 in \u00a0\u00a02 \u00a0specimens (3.33 %) in my study.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Conclusion<\/strong>: The responsibility for teaching the arterial variations to surgeons\u00a0 lies\u00a0 with the anatomists. So \u00a0the surgeons\u00a0 can\u00a0 able\u00a0 to\u00a0 identify\u00a0 this\u00a0 arterial variation\u00a0 during\u00a0 their\u00a0 cholecystectomy surgeries .
